Is there a compact FM antenna I can use instead of the LONG FM antenna cord? (And AM)?
I purchased an undercabinet radio, but it does not have built in AM/FM antennas. I have to attach these rediculous cords to the back and fish them through the cabinet to the tops of the cabinets. Isn't there something more "21st Century" which I could be using?
Most Cable TV companies carry FM radio as well as TV signals so you could connect to your nearest Cable TV outlet for one thing. Also any ... See More
Can i use 18-gauge speaker cable with these speakers?
ProMonitor 800 * Compact, inert speaker cabinets molded of high-density, mineral-filled, non-resonant polymer PolyStone. * The compound Non-Resonant Optimized Curve (NROC) of the beautifully sculpted enclosures, in conjunction with their non-parallel top and bottom cap design, minimizes internal reflections and cabinet wall resonance for pure sound with greater clarity and low distortion. * Single 4 1/2 ” long-throw upper bass/midrange driver with butyl rubber surround coupled to a 4 1/2 ” pressure-driven planar low-frequency radiator for clear and natural midrange and years of durable performance. * 1" ferrofluid-dampened Pure Aluminum Dome Tweeter for clear, natural highs. * Complex Linkwitz-Riley Crossover Networks make blending smooth and realistic. * Frequency Response: 57hz – 30khz. * Efficiency: 89db. * Nominal Imp.: 4 - 8 ohms. * Recommended Amplification: 10 - 150 watts. * Available in Gloss Black or Gloss White. * 8-3/8"H x 4-3/4"W x 5"D * Optional Brackets and Stands available. * Retail: $125 each.
Yes, you can, however, they don't sound like very good speakers - the bass response is fairly poor - even for speakers that only cost $250. See More

how do i install the plastic dowel insert for a blum hinge?
I'm hanging new kitchen cabinet doors that came with European hinges. The two screws that are supposed to be screwed into the cabinet doors have plastic dowel inserts attached. There are holes in the door where the inserts go but it is extremely tight and trying to force them into the door isnt really working. Here is a picture: http://www.amazon.com/Blum-Degrees-Knock-Closing-Compact/dp/B0006HF8Z4
Yea, those can be a pain. The holes should be 5 mm and the plastic plug should be tight so the hinge stays put. Just press it in enough to ... See More

You would need RCA to XLR female adapters since this is a professional sub. You could also make speaker cables that are bare wire/bananas ... See More

Where should I look for a better desk to set up my home recording studio?
I've got most of the stuff I need (a mixer, a condenser mic, a midi keyboard, etc...), but my old desk is so messy and every time I use my stuff, I have to put it all back away into a cabinet. I want a desk or something I can set everything up on. The only catch is I want something compact cause I live in a small apartment. Thanks.
It all depends were you live, but try a place like New Life Office - http://www.newlifeoffice.com - they will build a custom desk to suit ... See More

Is there a compact safe to lock up your documents, bank statements, etc?
The safe should be small enough to fit in a drawer or cabinet. i meant to put it in a drawer or cabinet. my brother has been snooping with my things and he finds nothing wrong with it. having a big safe is too obvious. it will only tempt him more to open it at all costs. (ya he is a sick 32-yr-old man. i have plenty to tok about him.) its not safe to put everything open in one place. thats y i am looking for a small case to lock up my documents and put it inside the drawer.

A safe should be bolted to the floor so that it can't be lifted and carried out easily. If it fits in a drawer or cabinet you might as well ... See More
